The Society for Anti-Colonial Middle Eastern and North African Thought is a unique and original space for philosophers dedicated to issues relevant to the Middle East and North Africa to discuss their work and the challenges we face in the field. This society draws together both philosophers working on contemporary MENA thought and those who identify as MENA with the mission of: (i) Promoting contemporary Middle Eastern and North African philosophy; (ii) Providing a space to think through the racialization and discrimination against MENA people, especially (but not only) in recent times; (iii) Overcoming the isolation and compartmentalization of MENA philosophers by providing a space for MENA philosophers to present their work and meet each other. |
